The Race
Why It Matters
- An Army veteran who spent nearly a decade volunteering in Broward schools before she ever filed.
- Won outright in a nonpartisan race — 17,073 votes to 11,525, with no runoff required.
- A graduate of the district she now governs, and the mother of four current Broward students.
The Opportunity
Broward County’s District 7 seat was decided on August 18, 2026. Dominique took 59.7% of the vote against Rochelle Soffer’s 40.3% — clearing the threshold outright, which cancelled the November general election. She is an IVA-supported independent veteran who has won and now governs.
