Colorado Politics: Chew Launches $1.3 Million Statewide TV Blitz

A Navy veteran is done being polite about Washington’s failures — and all of Colorado is going to hear about it.

Colorado Politics reported on Bob Chew’s launch of a $1.3 million statewide advertising campaign — a 30-second spot running on broadcast, cable, digital, and streaming across the Denver and Colorado Springs markets and statewide through September.

The ad itself is pure Bob: confronted with headline after headline about the cost of living, the 67-year-old Navy submarine veteran channels the frustration every Coloradan feels about career politicians in Washington — furniture may not survive. Behind the humor is a deadly serious campaign: Chew is personally invested in giving voters a real choice beyond the two-party status quo, and this buy puts his message in front of virtually every voter in the state.

Independent candidates are routinely dismissed because they supposedly can’t compete on the airwaves. Bob Chew just took that excuse away. A veteran who served aboard a nuclear submarine and built a company from four employees to hundreds doesn’t do anything halfway — and he’s not doing this halfway either.
